Our North American sourced, natural wood rings can be treated with your favourite oil (olive oil, avocado oil, grape seed oil, etc.) and a local beeswax. It is highly recommended to treat the rings to help preserve them longer and keep them from splintering or becoming brittle. Because these are untreated rings and not considered a finished product, there may be some parts of the ring that are slightly rougher and could use a bit of touch up sanding.
